I’ve been participating in the WordPress Photo Challenges for over two years and was very disappointed to hear that WordPress was no longer going to host the weekly challenge. The challenges provided an opportunity for bloggers and photographers to discover each other and share our work. And I’ve picked up lots of tips and ideas for new projects.
Luckily, four wonderful bloggers – photographer/artists – have taken up the “challenge” so to speak and will take turns hosting the challenge each week. They are –
Week 1 – Patti of https://pilotfishblog.com/
Week 2 – Ann-Christine aka Leya of https://lagottocattleya.wordpress.com/
Week 3 – Amy of https://shareandconnect.wordpress.com/
Week 4 – Tina of https://travelsandtrifles.wordpress.com/
This week, Patti has given us the prompt “wonder”. We’ve been asked to create a post that captures a moment, a feeling, a place, a person—that fills us with wonder.
The beach is that place for me. I visit at least three or four days a week. Sometimes hubby and I spend the day under the umbrella with sandwiches and watermelon for lunch and sometimes I walk alone. Sometimes, it’s the clouds and the sky that capture my attention. Sometimes it’s the birds and some days it’s the children playing in the sand and surf.
Regardless of the circumstances, each visit I leave calm, relaxed and uplifted, filled with wonder at the day spent at the beach.

Thanks Tina. I’m excited that the four of you are moderating. I can’t wait to see what topics you come up with.
