In the south, we are used to high humidity and late afternoon showers. The showers usually don’t last long though so we’re able to get back out quickly to our golf game, beach chair or backyard picnic.
The 4th of July was no different. We hadn’t been on the beach long when we could see a rain storm coming in from the ocean. Everyone on the beach lowered their umbrellas and huddled under them to wait out the storm. It lasted about 5 or 10 minutes and then the sun came back out and it was a glorious day.
Let me correct something. I should say that most people waited out the storm under their umbrellas.
These young men were seen hurrying away to get out of the rain. They did not come back.
These young women huddled under one of the boardwalks and were back on the beach as soon as the rain stopped.

The girls were probably multi-tasking, as is their wont, as well 😉

You are SO right! Planning that night’s dinner, play dates for the children and the takeover of a competing business to increase their marketing share. Just a typical day.
