I have talked for years about writing a recipe blog and finally started http://www.momaskedmeforarecipe.com  in August 2015.  I quickly realized that there was more to it than cooking and sharing recipes.  It required good photos too!

I took a photography class with the intention of improving my blog and found a new passion.  Not only do I love cooking and taking pictures of my food but I have also found joy in capturing the world around me.  Things I used to take for granted are new inspiration to me and I am now seeing a perfect photograph every way I turn.

I’m so excited about these new discoveries and want to share them with you so a new website is born!  Every good Southern gal has her pearls (and a good story about them!), thus the name Photography in Pearls.

I hope you enjoy my photographs as much as I did taking them.  Here’s to tomorrow’s inspiration!

Because of some health issues, Mom Asked Me For A Recipe! is on hiatus.  Hopefully, it won’t be for long.
