Laundry Day – The Marsh Walk Way
The Marsh Walk is a wooden boardwalk along a natural saltwater estuary in Murrells Inlet – the seafood capital of South Carolina. In addition to watching the native wildlife, you can also enjoy water sports, great seafood restaurants and music. The Marsh Walk is one of our favorite places to enjoy a lazy afternoon.

The Insect and the Peach
I am always amazed by the small subjects my macro lens picks up. It shows such great detail – no wonder it’s my favorite lens!
A Contradiction – Black and White?
It was actually a bright sun shiny day but you can’t tell from this picture. It looks cold and bleak to me but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
For this week’s challenge, we are asked to share a photo of a landscape: a wide establishing shot of a scene in nature or an urban setting.

Photo 101 – Day 4 – Bliss
Our prompt for today – What is your idea of bliss? Is it an image of your family, laughing at the dinner table? A state of total relaxation, while lying on the beach? Your latest painting, drying on the canvas?
Pluff Mud
Pluff mud is gooey mud found in the Lowcountry. You’ll find it along the marshes, creeks, harbors and the ocean. It also has a very “unique” smell. If you step in it, you will most likely find yourself up to your knees!
Because it contains lots of organic material, oysters grow here. Crabs, birds, fish and other animals live here too. Pluff mud is an essential ingredient to the Lowcountry and thus, it is my entry for “bliss”.
Photo 101 – Day 3
Today, we are asked to post a picture of water – how it reminds us of family vacations, outdoor adventures – a place we’ve left behind or a location we dream to go.
I live at the beach so I could pick from numerous beach photos but instead I’ve chosen to post a picture of a beautiful pool at Brookgreen Gardens. I think it could pass as a Monet!
Lily Pad Pool at Brookgreen Gardens
I post from Brookgreen Gardens often so check out my other posts. It’s one of my favorite places to go.
