Photo Challenge – Spare

The word “spare” has many connotations: it can mean one too many, or sparse, or even to release something from harm.  This week we are asked to share our interpretation.

Glasses to Spare

“As we age”…is an expression I have heard too, too many times.  Our skin sags, our joints creak and complain, we can’t hear the TV unless the volume is up, we constantly forget things …and we can’t see small print.

I have reading glasses from the Dollar Store in every room in my house, stashed in the car and in my purse.  I now shop with glasses hung from my neck and perched on my nose so that I can read the size tag and the price tag.

If you can’t fight it, you might as well embrace it!
