I love going to the beach and especially enjoy taking pictures of the sea oats. This picture was posted July 12, 2016.
Today was my first visit to the beach after Hurricane Matthew. My beloved sea oats are gone – replaced by remnants of broken piers and boardwalks. Gone for now but not for long.
We were extremely lucky. Other than yard debris, we had no damage. The tree belonged to our neighbor across the street and that’s hubby with the chainsaw.
Others in our neighborhood were not as lucky and most are still without power. Two days without power was enough for me!
The photo on the left was taken during a lull in the storm. The photo on the right was taken the day after.
A last goodbye from Matthew??
2016 Hurricane Season
The 2016 Hurricane season is only 7 days old and we’ve already had three named storms.
