This week we are asked to share an experience when the shine of a light source caused us to stop for a second look.

Night of a Thousand Candles – Brookgreen Gardens

Every year Brookgreen Gardens hosts Night of a Thousand Candles during the month of December.  Words cannot describe the beauty of the gardens with thousands of lights and candles set among the sculptures.  There are carolers, story tellers and music too. 

I stopped by Brookgreen Gardens earlier this week and preparations are already underway for this year’s event.  Most of the work is done by volunteers and although it doesn’t seem possible, every year is better than the year before.
