Photo Challenge – Half Light

This week, the challenge is to share a photograph inspired by a poem, verse, story, or song lyric and to try and capture the beauty of morning or evening half-light. 

Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head

It’s been raining most of the weekend so I wasn’t able to get the picture I had planned to take.  During a lull in the rain, I went outside.  I was checking out the azaleas and saw the prettiest raindrops.  The color of the flowers stands out against the half light of the evening.

When I was in high school (no, I’m not telling you what year), I was a dancer in a school production.  It was actually a district wide project and students in elementary school up to high school were invited to participate.  We studied and rehearsed all summer and then performed it for each school in the district and then performed three or four nights for the public.  The production featured a history of all the songs in movies that won Academy Awards.

“Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head” was one of the songs we performed.  For this song, all the dancers entered from the rear of the auditorium and danced down the aisle twirling umbrellas.  It was a fan favorite!

Half-Light
